The Song
The word "nakhro" is used for a stylish, proud and hard-to-please young woman, and that character is the centre of this song. "Nakhro" celebrates her confidence, her strong attitude and her high standards, presenting her as someone who knows her worth and is not easily impressed. Jung Sandhu's writing keeps the mood upbeat and admiring, and Freak Singh's music gives Jigar a catchy, modern Punjabi beat to perform over.
The Artists
Jigar is a Punjabi singer known for energetic, youth-focused songs, and his confident delivery suits the attitude of "Nakhro" well. He is joined on screen by Prerna Sharma, who plays the title character in the video and gives the song its visual centre. Together, the performance and the video turn a simple idea — admiring a confident, stylish woman — into a complete, entertaining package.
