In a May 2022 meeting with NPR, the British artist uncovered the story behind the freaky tune:
I was in a sushi café in Los Angeles with my maker and one of our tunes came on from the last collection, and I sort of said, similar to, "This is truly peculiar music for a sushi eatery."
Prior to adding that being the name of the album was in the running. I was like, that would be a truly fun collection title, however at that point as the melody began being made I sort of set on "Music for a Sushi Restaurant."
