The hook "Nikamma kiya is dil ne" and the teasing "Dobara mat puchhna" (do not ask again) made the song a party favourite, with Deane Sequeira adding an English rap portion in the middle.

Nikamma Lyrics in Roman Hindi
Pehli nazar mein hi main hil gaya
Dhoondha tha jisko mujhe mil gaya
Nikamma!
Pehli nazar mein hi main hil gaya
Dhoondha tha jisko mujhe mil gaya
Tu peechhe pada hai kyun zid pe ada hai
Kya kehte hain tujhko tere daddy amma
Nikamma!
Dobara mat puchhna
Nikamma kiya is dil ne
Is dil ne kiya hai nikamma
Nikamma kiya is dil ne
Is dil ne kiya hai
Daubara mat puchhna
Nikamma!
Haan, haan
Bottle on bottle haan body on body
We can take it back to mine
For an after party
You with the 6 pack
Girls going off track
Hit it hit it hit it
The queen is back
Ba ba ba bad boy you come my way
With all that action I need a replay
Make way make way make way
I'm heading to the top and
I'm here to stay
Chadh ke sar se
Utre na teri nighaaon mein
Woh ek nasha hai
Teri freaky baaton ne
Na jaane kyun mera dil chhu liya hai
Mohabbat mein teri
Yeh haalat hai meri
Dhadak ke yeh dil bole uyi amma
Nikamma!
Kripya dhyan se sunein
Nikamma kiya is dil ne
Is dil ne kiya hai nikamma
Nikamma kiya is dil ne
Is dil ne kiya hai
Dobara mat puchhna
Nikamma
Dobara mat puchhna
Nikamma Lyrics in English Translation
At the very first glance, I was shaken
I found the one I had been searching for
Nikamma! (Good-for-nothing!)
At the very first glance, I was shaken
I found the one I had been searching for
Why are you after me, why are you so stubborn?
What do your mom and dad call you?
Nikamma!
Do not ask me again
This heart has made me nikamma
This heart has made me good-for-nothing
This heart has made me nikamma
This heart has made me
Do not ask me again
Nikamma!
Yes, yes
Bottle on bottle haan body on body
We can take it back to mine
For an after party
You with the 6 pack
Girls going off track
Hit it hit it hit it
The queen is back
Ba ba ba bad boy you come my way
With all that action I need a replay
Make way make way make way
I'm heading to the top and
I'm here to stay
It has climbed to my head
And does not leave your gaze
It is such an intoxication
Your freaky talks
Have somehow touched my heart
In your love
This is the state I am in
My heart beats and says, oh mother!
Nikamma!
Please listen carefully
This heart has made me nikamma
This heart has made me good-for-nothing
This heart has made me nikamma
This heart has made me
Do not ask me again
Nikamma
Do not ask me again
Nikamma Lyrics Meaning in English
Nikamma means good-for-nothing or useless, and the song wears the word like a badge of honour. The hero falls in love at first sight - he has found the one he was searching for - and happily declares that his heart has made him nikamma: useless for work, useless for everything except loving and dancing.
The girl teases him for chasing her so stubbornly, his heart races and cries "uyi amma", and a cheeky announcement - "Kripya dhyan se sunein" (please listen carefully) - leads back into the hook. It is a light, celebratory party song where being useless in love is the whole fun.
