The Song
"Akdi Pakdi" is pure celebration. Its hook - "akdi pakdi dikka dikadi dikkidi dikkidi" - is a rhythmic tongue-twister that works like a drum beat, around which the verses tell a small, sweet story: one look from his darling and the boy is flying, one touch and his heart turns shy, and all he wants is for her to drop her shyness, hold her heart tight and dance the "Liger step" with him. Lijo George and DJ Chetas keep the production loud and festival-ready, in the colourful street-party style of Vijay Deverakonda's on-screen persona in the film.
The Artists
Dev Negi brings his trademark high-energy voice to the male lines, Pawni Pandey adds the playful female spark, and composer Lijo George himself joins in on vocals. Lijo George and DJ Chetas are among Bollywood's most in-demand party-song producers, and writers Mohsin Shaikh and Azeem Dayani shape the words around the unstoppable hook. On screen, Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday perform the song in Puri Jagannadh's Liger.
The Music Video
The official music video of "Akdi Pakdi", released by Sony Music India in July 2022, is a full-scale colour burst - Vijay Deverakonda leading huge group choreography on bright street sets with Ananya Panday, performing the hook step that gave the song its second name, the "Liger step". The video has been viewed tens of millions of times, and it is the version embedded on this page below.

Akdi Pakdi Lyrics Meaning
The meaning of "Akdi Pakdi" is celebration itself. The famous hook is not a sentence at all - it is a childhood tongue-twister turned into a drum line, a burst of syllables whose only job is to make the body move. Around it, the verses carry the song's small story: a boy knocked off his feet by a single look ("ek hi look mein main toh fly fly hogaya"), whose heart has turned shy since her touch, begging the girl to hold her heart, drop her shyness and dance with him - specifically the mass "Liger step" named after Vijay Deverakonda's character.
That is why the song works the way it does: the words keep stepping aside for the beat. "Pa pa pa papa" and "yeh Liger deewana hogaya" (this Liger has gone crazy) close the track on pure adrenaline - the sound of a hero introducing himself not with a dialogue, but with a dance floor.
